UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following ORDER

Heard Mr. Mukul Rohatqi and Mr. Gopal Subramoniam, learned senior counsel along with Mr. Keshav Mohan, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr. Neeraj Kishan Kaul, learned senior counsel along with Mr. Yashraj Singh Deora, learned counsel for the respondents.

Issue notice.

Learned counsel for the respondents undertake to file the counter affidavit within six weeks hence. Rejoinder affidavit, if any, be filed within four weeks therefrom.

List the matter after ten weeks.

In the meantime, as undertaken by the learned counsel for the respondents, they shall neither manufacture the potable alcohol, nor convert the industrial alcohol to potable alcohol. Additionally, they will not submit any application for renewal of potable alcohol. When we say that the respondents shall not apply for renewal of potable alcohol, that does not debar them to apply for renewal of licence for industrial alcohol.
