UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following O R D E R
Ms. Aishwarya Bhati, Learned Additional Solicitor General on the basis of the instructions states that in pursuance to the order dated 31.10.2022 a meeting takes place between the state of Tamil Nadu and the Central Government on 02.11.2022 for the purpose of review of the cadre strength for the year 2019. Today we are informed that the meeting takes place but no decision could be taken and the matter is still under consideration.
We hope and trust that the Central Government and the State of Tamil Nadu shall take a decision in this regard as expeditiously as possible but not later than 8 weeks from today. Since, both the Governments are in the process of finalizing the cadre strength, we do not think this petition is liable to be continued any further. As stated above, since the decision to be taken within 8 weeks from today, we close the proceeding.
The Special Leave Petition is, accordingly, disposed of. Pending application(s), if any, shall stand disposed of.
