In this writ petition, the prayer is to the following extent:-

"Issue writ in the nature of mandamus or other appropriate writ/writs order or direction to the Respondents No.1 to No.3 to declare the MullaiPeriyar Dam and its water catchment area belong to Tamil Nadu State."

In our considered opinion, such a petition cannot be entertained in exercise of Article 32 of the Constitution of India. It is, accordingly, dismissed.
