These special leave petitions have been filed against common judgment dated 14.12.2020 passed by the High Court, by which the Criminal Petition No. 2540 of 2016 and connected writ petition were disposed of.
It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that this Court had already issued notice in SLP (Crl) No. 4466 of 2017 and other connected matters. It is further submitted that the petitioner cannot be prosecuted under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002. Several additional submissions have been raised in other writ petitions, which need to be examined.
Issue notice on the special leave petitions as well as on the interim prayer for staying the proceedings under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002, returnable in four weeks.
Learned counsel for the petitioner is permitted to serve standing counsel for the respondent.
