UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following ORDER
Application seeking exemption from filing certified copy of impugned Judgment is allowed.
Heard learned Senior counsel appearing for the parties at a considerable length and carefully perused the material available on record.
We find that the impugned Judgment was passed by the High Court of Judicature at Madras on 25062014, whereas the Special Leave Petition was filed on 17032018, after an inordinate delay of 1302 days in filing and 316 days in refiling the said Petition.
We are, thus, not inclined to entertain the Special Leave Petition after such an inordinate delay.
In view of the above, the Special Leave Petition is dismissed on the ground of delay.
However, the question of law is kept open which would be decided in an appropriate case.
