UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following O R D E R
Mr. L. Nageswara Rao, learned Additional Solicitor General appearing for Air India submits that the organization is in discussion with pilots, service engineers and cabin crew with regard to the remaining grievances and there is a likelihood of settlement.
Learned senior counsel appearing on behalf of the pilots, service engineers and cabin crew would submit that so far no discussion whatsoever has been done with them.
Be that as it may, this court is not in a position to take up the matter today in view of the paucity of time. The matters are adjourned to 9th April, 2015 retaining their position as on today.
We make it clear that it will be open to Air India to have discussions with the pilots, service engineers and cabin crew so as to have an amicable settlement of the remaining grievances.
Needless to say that Air India will give formal intimation regarding the meetings to the respondents – Unions concerned.
It is also made clear that in the meetings the issue regarding the promotion in the case of service engineers will also be taken up for discussion.
