UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following O R D E R

We have heard learned counsel for the rival parties at some length.

We find no justification whatsoever to interfere with the impugned judgment dated 10.03.2014 passed by the High Court of Calcutta while disposing of Writ Petition S.T. No. 58 of 2013.

This Court, while issuing notice on 11.07.2014, had stayed the operation of the impugned judgment dated 10.03.2014. It is therefore, that none of the fourteen selected candidates have been appointed till today. With the disposal of this petition, the interim order passed on 11.07.2014 automatically stands vacated. We direct the petitioners to now issue appointment orders to the fourteen selected candidates, within three weeks from today, allowing them to join their duties with effect from 1.12.2015. If they join their duties with effect from 1.12.2015, they shall be entitled to their emoluments from that date. In case, the orders of appointment are issued within the time stipulated hereinabove, but the selected candidates do not join their duties on 1.12.2015, they will be entitled to emoluments only with effect from the date of their joining.

The instant petition stands disposed of in the aforesaid terms.

As a sequel to the above, pending miscellaneous application is also disposed of.
