"In State of U.P. and Others Versus Sitapur Packing Wood Suppliers and Others reported in (2002) 4 SCC 566, validity of levy of transit fee under Rule 5 of the UP Transit of Timber and Other Forest Produce Rules, 1978 (For short 'the Rules') was in question............................................................................... ............................................................................................. .............................................................Let these matters be listed for final disposal in the third week of September 2016."

It is submitted that Ms. E.R. Sumathy counsel for the petitioners has on 26th August, 2016, filed contempt petitions in the SLPs for noncompliance with the Hon'ble Court's order dated 2nd December, 2011, modified on 26th April, 2016. The said contempt petitions have

been registered as Contempt Petition Nos. 585587 of 2016. Paper books of Contempt Petition are placed with SLP paper books.

It is further submitted that Mr. M.R. Shamshad, Advocate has filed Vakalatnama/Appearance on behalf of all the contesting respondents.

It is lastly submitted that the instant SLPs have been tagged with S.L.P. © No. 19445 of 2004 (Main matter) and other connected matters and the said batch of matters are being listed before the Hon'ble Court on 18th October, 2016.

The contempt petitions are listed before the Hon'ble Court with this office report.
