Issue notice.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioners. There shall be a direction to the High Court to provisionally permit the petitioners in the writ petition to appear in the preliminary examination that is being held on 01.07.2018. The High Court is directed to forward the result of the examination to this Court, in a sealed cover, on the next date of hearing.

We further make it clear that the petitioners shall not claim any equity on account of this order.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and perused the relevant material.

Issue notice.

The administrative side/examination committee of the High Court may register the applications of the petitioners and they may be permitted to participate in the Direct Recruitment of the Uttar Pradesh Higher Judicial Service – 2018.

This is only a provisional arrangement and mere participation do not confer them with any right to claim any equity. The eligibility for appointment will be decided at the time of final hearing of the matter.

We direct the High Court of Rajasthan to register the applications of the petitioners, if they are otherwise in order, ignoring the objections regarding seven years practice and in case they are otherwise eligible.

We make it clear that this is only a provisional arrangement. Mere participation does not confer them with any right to claim any equity. The eligibility for appointment will be decided at the time of final hearing of the matter.
