CIVIL APPEAL (C) NOS. 7965—7968/2014
It is submitted that there are 37 respondents in these matters. Respondent Nos. 2 & 3 are represented through Mr. Ramesh Babu, M.R., Advocate, Respondent No. 4 is represented through Ms. Rashmi Malhotra, Advocate and Respondent No. 9 is represented through Mr. Rabin Majumder, Advocate. Certificate of service (served) has been received from the concerned High Court in respect of respondent Nos. 57 & 1037. Certificate of service (unserved) has been received from the concerned High Court in respect of respondent No. 1 & 8 with the following remarks:
- (i) Respondent No. 1 Retired from service
- (ii) Respondent No. 8 Expired three years ago.
Service is not complete in respect of respondent Nos. 1 & 8 so far.
It is further submitted that Counsel for the Appellant has not filed any proof so far regarding service of pleadings on the Counsel of other sides.
It is further submitted that served respondents have not filed their respective Counter affidavit so far.
Some of the respondents in Civil Appeal Nos. 7968/2014 and 7967/2014 have sent letters on 17.02.2016 requesting therein that the respondents are Senior citizens and financially weak and unable to present before the Court in person or through an Advocate. Therefore, the Hon'ble Court may issue an Order to maintain the Status Quo. (Copy of the letters are attached herewith this Office Report).
