UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following O R D E R

  • 1 The petitioner has invoked the jurisdiction of this Court under Article 32 of the Constitution for being provided with a security cover.
  • 2 Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner adverts to the judgment of a Single Judge of the High Court of Karnataka dated 17 March 2021 in which, the petitioner was permitted to approach the jurisdictional police for the provision of security. Counsel for the petitioner states that on 5 April 2022, Digitally signed by

the Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Karnataka addressed a communication to the Director General and Inspector General of Police for due verification and for necessary action in connection with the provision of security to the petitioner.

  • 3 We are not inclined to entertain a petition under Article 32 of the Constitution. If the petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that despite the order of the High Court, security has not been provided to him, it will be open to him to move the High Court afresh under Article 226 of the Constitution. Granting liberty to the petitioner to do so and without this Court expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the Petition is disposed of.
