UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following O R D E R

Heard Dr.Rajeev Dhawan, learned senior counsel for the petitioner, Mr.Shibashish Misra, learned counsel for the State.

Our attention has been invited to the statement made by the learned counsel appearing for the respondent no.1 – Biju Patnaik University of Technology before the single Judge of the Orissa High Court on 1.11.2011 where the learned counsel for the University stated that the University has decided to grant autonomy to the petitioner institution in terms of the letter of the University Grants Commission dated 15.10.2010.

Having regard to the above, we are satisfied that I.A.Nos.17-18 of 2015 may be disposed of by the following order :

The petitioner college is permitted to admit students on the provisional basis of autnomous status for the academic year 2015-2016.

Ordered accordingly.
