UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following $0 R D E R$

The contempt petitioners have come before this Court in view of our order dated 27.02.2019, in which the State was given a long rope, i.e. a period of two years, to pay a sum of Rs.57,24,94,583/with interest at a very low rate i.e. 4%.

27.02.2021 has since gone and the contempt petitioners have received a single paisa. On the other hand, a Misc. application has been filed by the State, long after the period has expired, to extend the time for payment by one year.

Given the facts and circumstances of this case, we extend the time to make full payment together with interest by a maximum period of six months from today, which will not be extendable any further. Also, in the meanwhile, the State is directed to deposit 10% of Rs. 57,24,94,583/- + interest thereon, within a period of four weeks from today with the Company Court in seisin of these matters.

The matters are disposed of accordingly.
