UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following O R D E R

$1.$ We are informed that the petitioner owes the respondent a little in excess of Rupees thirty three lakh.

$2.$ Within a period of two weeks from date, the petitioner shall deposit a sum of Rupees twenty lakh with the Registry without prejudice to its rights and contentions in this special leave petition. Subject to such deposit, issue notice

to the respondents returnable three weeks hence.

In the event deposit is made, the Registry shall invest the said amount of

Rupees twenty lakh in a short-term fixed deposit interest bearing account of a

nationalized bank on auto renewal basis, until further order.

  1. There shall be unconditional stay of the operation of the impugned judgment and order dated February 03, 2025 for a period of two weeks from date. Again, subject to deposit ordered above, the stay shall continue for a period of four weeks or until further order, whichever is earlier.

  2. It is, however, clarified that if no such deposit is made within the period stipulated above, the special leave petition shall stand dismissed without further reference to the Court.
