UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following O R D E R

  • 1 Ms Aishwarya Bhati, learned Additional Solicitor General states that besides the interim report of the Sub Committee which was constituted to evaluate the oxygen requirements of the National Capital Territory which has been placed on the record, the National Task Force appointed by this Court has held numerous meetings and has submitted its reports to the Union government.

  • 2 The reports of the NTF covering all aspects shall be placed on the record together with an Action Taken Report by the Union government indicating the steps which have been taken to implement the reports of the National Task Force. The Union of India shall duly apprise this Court on affidavit of the steps which have been taken to ensure that the recommendations are duly observed at the policy level in order to enhance preparedness to meet the Covid-19 pandemic for the present and for the foreseeable future. The recommendation of the National Task Force appointed by this Court and the ATR shall be separately annexed.

  • 3 Copies of the reports of the National Task Force and of the Action Taken Report of the Union government shall be made available to all the learned counsel, including to Mr Jaideep Gupta and Ms Meenakshi Arora, learned senior counsel, who are assisting the Court as Amicus Curiae.

  • 4 The Union government shall complete the above exercise within a period of two weeks.

  • 5 It would be appropriate if the present proceedings are listed with the proceedings in which this Court has taken suo moto cognizance of the covid related issues. List these proceedings along with Suo Moto Writ (Civil) No 3 of 2021 on 27 August 2021.
