UPON hearing the counsel, the Court made the following O R D E R

1. The present case is related to the appointment to the post of Assistant Superintendent of Prisons. The dispute is regarding the seniority of petitioners nos. 1 and 2 as well as the respondent no.3 to the said post.

2. Vide the impugned judgment, the High Court was of the opinion that the respondent no.3 was above on the merit of selection, therefore, seniority be determined on the basis of the merit of selection panel.

3. The relevant record of selection and panel of merit list, in addition to the seniority list be placed for perusal of this Court within four weeks.

4. List on 26th November, 2024.
