UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following O R D E R

In spite of our repeated orders, the respondent-State has not paid the amount to the petitioner(s), not even the admitted amount has been paid on which they could not have any dispute. Therefore, this is clearly a case where the respondent-State is evading the orders of this court and hence, it may just amount to a deliberate and willful disobedience of the order of this Court as well.

Under these circumstances, we see no other option but to call the Secretary, Higher and Technical Department, Government of Maharashtra, Mantralaya Mumbai, be present on the next date of hearing.

List on 08.11.2024.

Meanwhile, in case the admitted amount is paid, the Secretary need not be present in this Court. We also make it clear that in order to ascertain as to what the admitted amount is, the Registrar of the concerned university shall also cooperate in this matter with the Secretary and explain the exact amount which the state is liable to pay to the petitioner(s).
