UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following O R D E R

I.A. No. 37728/2018

The application for bail is filed by the accused-respondents in the present appeals filed against their acquittal under Section 302 IPC. In the absence of any appeal by the accused challenging their conviction under the other provisions of the Indian Penal Code including Section 364A IPC for which they have been sentenced

to imprisonment for life, we decline to entertain the application.

Learned counsel for the accused has submitted that in spite of the best efforts and repeated communications sent, the jail authorities have not forwarded their papers either to this Court or the Legal Aid Forums for filing of appeal(s) against their conviction. In these circumstances, we request the Supreme Court Legal Services Committee to look into the matter, communicate with the accused-respondents who are presently lodged in Yerawada Jail, Pune and thereafter take such steps in accordance with law as may be considered appropriate.

With the above directions I.A. No. 37728 of 2018 is disposed of.
