UPON hearing counsel the Court made the following O R D E R Considering the fact that the question as to whether MCI by its regulations can impose a 50 per cent quota in private unaided medical colleges for the State to fill-up is pending before this court in Civil appeal No. 670 of 2007, we grant leave and direct that this matter be tagged along with the aforesaid civil appeal.

In the meanwhile, interim order passed by this Court

on 21.10.2013 will continue. The proceedings in the writ petition no. 2051 of 2013 in the High Court of Uttarakhand, Nainital, as well as in the special appeal arising therefrom will remain stayed subject to the order that students who have already been admitted in the petitioner institution shall not be disturbed.
