UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following O R D E R
The Chief Secretary of the State of Odisha is present in Court today. Mr. L. Nageswara Rao, learned senior counsel appearing on behalf of the State of Odisha has advised the Chief Secretary to take certain remedial steps. No further orders are required to be passed in this regard. Further appearance of the Chief Secretary is dispensed with.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has filed an incomplete affidavit. Mr. Maninder Singh, learned ASG appearing on behalf of the Ministry seeks leave to withdraw the affidavit and file an appropriate affidavit.
Leave and liberty granted.
The State of Telangana has filed its affidavit. It appears that investigations are in progress and the State Police is taking up the matter with due seriousness. Under the circumstances, insofar as the investigations into the attack on the vehicle of the General Secretary of the petitioner-organization is concerned, no further directions are required to be given to the State of Telangana and they are accordingly discharged insofar as this is concerned. However, the investigations should continue.
