UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following O R D E R
1 We have heard Mr Anand Grover, senior counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners and Mr Bikashranjan Bhattacharyya, senior counsel, who appears on caveat.
- 2 The order of the High Court directing the payment of interest at the rate of five per cent does not call for interference. However, the time for paying the outstanding amount is extended by a period of two months from the date of this order with a clarification that interest will be payable at the rate of five per cent and not at the enhanced rate of eight per cent, as directed.
- 3 Subject to aforesaid clarification, the Special Leave Petitions are dismissed.
- 4 Pending application, if any, stands disposed of.
