We are not inclined to entertain this special leave petition against the order passed by the High Court refusing to grant bail pending the criminal appeal. However, in case, the appeal of the petitioner is not decided within a year from today, it will be open to the petitioner to renew his prayer for bail before the High Court considering the fact that the petitioner has been in custody for more than eight years.

The special leave petition is disposed of accordingly.
