UPON hearing counsel the Court made the following
ORDER
An additional affidavit on behalf of the State of U.P. is being fi led
which may be placed on record. It is stated that the lands which were
identified, are the subject matter of certain litigation wherein orders of status quo had been passed. However, the Chief Secretary of the Sta te, having
regard to the importance of the matter, directed the Principal Secretary,
Housing and Urban Planning Department, to give top priority to the matter of
allotment of land for the purpose of construction of a building for t he State
Commission under the Consumer Protection Act. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State of U.P. submits that he has instructions to say that one piece of land at Gomati Nagar has been identified for the said purpose. Let an affidavit to that effect be filed within two weeks. Reply thereto, if any, may be filed by the respondents within one week thereafter.
Let the matter appear on Board three weeks hence. The petitioners are directed to comply with the Office Report in the meantime.
