The High Court of Andhra Pradesh has declined to grant stay of the operation of the Andhra Pradesh Mineral Bearing Lands (Infrastructure) Cess Ordinance, 2005. By this Court's order dated 6.3.2008, the interim order of the High Court was stayed and learned counsel appearing for the respondent State submits that the petitioner may be directed to furnish the accounts showing the extent of crude oil and natural gas excavated by O.N.G.C. The petitioner is also directed to furnish the details of the accounts to this Court as regards the quantity and value.
