This petition has been filed by the petitioner-wife for transfer of Divorce Petition No.1454 of 2012 titled as "Shri Saurav Kumar Gohain vs. Smt. Arundhati Gohain", pending before the District Judge, North East District, Karkardooma Court, Shahdara, Delhi to Family Court Guwahati, Kamrup, Assam.
The aforesaid petition for divorce has been filed for dissolution of marriage by decree of divorce by the husband respondent herein.
When the matter is taken up, learned counsel for the respondent states that the husband shall not press the divorce petition and states that the same may be dismissed. He points out that in view of the dismissal of the divorce petition, the prayer made out by the petitioner-wife to transfer the case is rendered infructuous.
As prayed for by the respondent, Divorce Petition No.1454 of 2012 pending before the District Judge, North East District, Karkardooma Court, Shahdara, Delhi stands dismissed.
