UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following O R D E R
1. On an oral mentioning, it is informed by learned counsel for the petitioner in SLP(C)No.16181/2023 that the compensation has not been paid so far to the land owners despite directions by this Court.
2. Learned counsel for the respondent-State is present through virtual mode.
3. We direct the State of Telangana to deposit the compensation, as awarded by the Reference Court/High Court, with all statutory benefits within four weeks. A compliance affidavit in this regard be filed by an officer not below the rank of Principal Secretary of the State Government, failing which we will be constrained to initiate contempt proceedings.
4. Post these matters for hearing on 19.03.2024.
5. Needful shall be done, meanwhile.
