Issue notice.
As the respondent has been represented by Mr. Chidambaram, learned senior counsel being assisted by Ms. Liz Mathew, learned counsel, no further notice need be issued.
Learned counsel for the parties fairly stated that the controversy centres around interpretation of Section 36 of the Arbitration and Conciliation (Amendment) Act, 2015 and certain other provisions of the said Act. In view of the aforesaid, no counter affidavit or rejoinder affidavit is necessary.
Let the matter be listed on 8.9.2016. As agreed to by learned counsel for the parties, it shall be taken up at 2.00 p.m.
Learned counsel for the parties shall submit their written notes of submission at the commencement of hearing.
