UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following
O R D E R
SLP(C)Nos.2899-2900/2023 and SLP(C)No.2732/2023
1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.
2. Issue notice for the limited purpose of mediation.
3. It is made clear that we are not inclined to interfere with the interim maintenance granted by the High Court at this stage as the main case re: determination of maintenance is still pending.
4. Notice for mediation shall be issued subject to the conditions that:
(i) The entire arrears of maintenance, as awarded by the High Court, shall be paid in two installments. The first installment shall be paid within four weeks. The second installment shall be paid within four weeks thereafter. This will be subject to future adjustments, if any.
(ii) The petitioner shall pay litigation expenses of Rs.50,000/- (Rupees fifty thousand only) by way of Demand Draft to the respondent – wife within two weeks.

2. Meanwhile personal appearance of the petitioners in Domestic Violence Case No.216 of 2019, pending before the Court of Judicial Magistrate, First Class, Karwar, Karnataka shall remain exempted.
