Heard Mr. Sivabalamurugan, learned counsel for the Petitioners, Mr. Subramonium Prasad, learned AAG for the State of Tamil Nadu and Mr. Gaurav Sharma, learned counsel for the MCI.
In view of our order dated 20.01.2015 passed in Writ Petition (Civil) No.1001 of 2014, it is directed as follows :
In view of the aforesaid, it is directed that the petitioners, who are prosecuting BDS course, would be permitted to change the stream to MBBS course and be admitted to the Chennai Medical Digitally signed by Gulshan Kumar Arora Date: 2015.02.19 17:55:00 IST Reason: Signature Not Verified
College Hospital & Research Centre, Trichy, Tamil Nadu. The formalities in this regard be completed within ten days hence. Needless to emphasize, the present order is passed in special circumstances and special features of the case and in the presence of the Medical Council of India. We may hasten to clarify that the Chennai Medical College Hospital & Research Centre, shall not be responsible for having admitted the students from another college in its Institute in the MBBS course, for we have so directed regard being had to the obtaining factual matrix.
We may hasten to add that this order is passed in the special features of this case and such type of cases shall not be entertained hereinafter as more than five months have expired from the date of commencement of the MBBS course.
The writ petitions are accordingly disposed of.
