Mr. Harish Salve, learned senior counsel appearing for State of Punjab and Mr. Venugopal, learned senior counsel appearing for the State of Rajasthan oppose this request. Mr.

Altaf Ahmad may file an application for impleadment and serve a copy thereof on the counsel for the State of Punjab and counsel for the State of Rajasthan within a week. They may file their reply within two weeks thereafter. Application for impleadment may be listed thereafter. We are informed that as far as the main suit is concerned,
