UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following O R D E R
Mr. Tushar Mehta, learned S.G. and Mr. Ranjit Kumar, learned Sr. Advocate appearing for the petitioners submit that in reference to the contempt petitions (Contempt Case Nos. 1530/2019, 1547/2019 and 304/2021) which have been initiated by the Ld. Single Judge of the High Court, officers of the Corporation are called upon to appear today and it is informed that the matters will be taken up by the Ld. Single Judge of the High Court after the post lunch session.
Learned senior counsel further submits that after the writ petition(s) was disposed of by the Ld. Single Judge by order dated 18.07.2019, the representation made by the writ petitioners before the High Court was disposed of by a detailed order dated 23.09.2019 and that was never the subject matter of challenge.
Learned senior counsel undertakes that appropriate application(s) be filed before the High Court in the pending contempt proceedings with their written explanation within a period of one week from today.
The officers may appear on the next date of hearing along with their written explanation. The Ld.Single Judge with whom contempt proceedings are pending may note of their explanations and proceed further in the matter(s).
