UPON hearing counsel the Court made the following O R D E R
Pursuant to the directions given on 5th February, 2013, the Chief Secretaries of the States of Arunachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Gujarat, are personally present and are also represented by learned counsel. They have tendered their apologies for not being present on the last occasion and it has also been impressed upon them by learned counsel regarding the seriousness of the matter. Their personal presence is dispensed with until further orders.
It appears that most of the Status Reports have already been filed and those which have not yet been filed will be filed during the course of day. The only exception is the State of Uttarakhand, which has not been represented by counsel and has not, therefore, responded to the directions given earlier for filing of the Status Report.
The learned Advocate-on-Record for the petitioner is directed to serve a copy of the writ petition on the learned Standing Counsel for the State of Uttarakhand, who is directed to take instructions and to file Status Report regarding the steps taken with regard to the missing children in the State, within four weeks from date.
Let this matter be taken up for further orders on 15th April, 2013, at the top of the list.
