1. The learned counsel appearing for the respondent – A. Venkataraman in SLP (C) No.2228 of 2021, who is also the petitioner in SLP (C) No.5695 of 2021, states that the said respondent/petitioner has expired and he, being a bachelor, has no legal representatives, as per his instruction.
2. The learned counsel expresses his inability to proceed further with the matters.

In view of the above, the sole respondent in SLP (C) No.2228 of 2021, and sole petitioner in SLP (C) No.5695 of 2021, having expired, both the Special Leave Petitions are dismissed as having abated. However, the question of law, if any, is kept open 4. Pending applications, if any, shall stand disposed of.
