Learned senior counsel for the petitioner(s) on instructions

states that in pursuance to the one time settlement, the petitioner has deposited with the bank Rs.3.71 crores and that they were seeking release of some properties in a scheduled manner to facilitate the payment of the total OTS amount but that has not happened.

On a court query after obtaining instructions from the learned counsel on record, learned senior counsel for the petitioner(s) submits that the petitioners(s) would deposit a further sum of Rs.1 crore within 15 days from today.

We also consider appropriate to implead Union Bank of India which is stated to have taken over the assets and liabilities of Andhra Bank which is concerned with the debt in issue, as respondent No.2. Amended memo of parties be filed within three days.

Subject to the aforesaid, let notice issue to the respondents returnable on 26.02.2021.

The petitioners(s) be not arrested till the next date subject to the compliance of the aforesaid making it clear that non-deposit of the aforesaid amount will result in an automatic dismissal of the Special Leave Petition.
