UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following O R D E R
Shri Ashwani Kumar Dubey, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has stated at the Bar that so far as the prayer in terms of paragraph (a) is concerned, in view of the subsequent order passed by the High Court of Madras, Madurai Bench, no cause survives. So far as the other prayers are concerned, he has vehemently submitted that the forced religious coversion by intimidation, threatening, luring through gifts and monetary benefits is a very serious problem and it violates Articles 14, 21 and 25 of the Constitution of India. To have the response from the Union of India, issue notice to respondent nos. 1 and 2 – Union of India, Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Law and Justice, returnable on 14.11.2022.
Dasti, in addition is also permitted.
It will be open for the petitioner to serve one advance copy of the petition on the Central Agency.
