UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following O R D E R
1. Leave is granted to the petitioner(s) to implead the States of Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh as party respondents in W.P.(Crl.) No. 50/2021. Amendment be carried out forthwith.
2. In addition to the usual mode, liberty is granted to the petitioner(s) to serve notice through the Standing Counsel for the newly added respondents.
3. Shri S.V. Raju, learned Additional Solicitor General of India appearing for Respondent Nos.9 & 10, in W.P.(Crl) No.48/2021, states that the First Information Reports (FIRs) registered by Respondent nos. 9 & 10 in W.P.(Crl) No.48/2021, have been

transferred to the State of Uttar Pradesh.
4. Similarly, Shri Aaditya Aniruddha Pande, learned counsel for respondent No.6 in both the petitions, states that the FIR registered at Ghatkopar, Mumbai has also been transferred to the State of Uttar Pradesh.
5. Ms. Ruchira Goel, learned counsel appearing for the State of Uttar Pradesh submits that in respect of all the FIRs registered in the State of Uttar Pradesh as well as those that have been transferred to the State of Uttar Pradesh i.e. FIR No.31/2021, P.S. Hazratganj, Lucknow, FIR No.14/2021, P.S. Rabupura, Gautam Budh Nagar and FIR No.34/2021, P.S. Katra, District Shahjahanpur, closure reports have already been filed.
6. In that view of the matter, the grievance of the petitioners insofar as the said FIRs are concerned do not survive any more.
7. Learned counsel appearing for the State of Madhya Pradesh seeks for and is granted three week's time to file its status report.
8. List after three weeks.
9. In the meantime, States of Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh shall also file their respective status report.
