The appeal above mentioned was listed before the Hon'ble Court on 10.3.2014 when the Court was pleased to pass the following Order:-

"We have heard learned counsel for the parties.

By an order dated 13th March, 2000 passed in SLP(C) NO. 1130 of 2000, this Court directed status quo with regard to the timber in question. Thereafter on 10th July, 2000 this Court while granting leave had continued the interim order.

It appears that despite the said interim orders of status quo passed with regard to the timber in question, the timber has been confiscated and then sold by the High Powered Committee.

The High Powered Committee will explain as to how despite the interim order passed by this Court, the timber has been confiscated and sold.

This may be done within a period of four weeks from today.

List thereafter on the top of the board."

It is submitted that the certified copy of the aforesaid order has been issued to the Registrar High Court of Gauhati, Aizawl Bench and Central Empowered Committee, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi vide this Registry's letter by Regd. A.D. on 5.4.2014 but no reply has been filed by the Central Empowered Committee so far.

Original Record has been received from the High Court and is available with the Registry for reference of this Hon'ble Court.

It is further submitted that the appeal above-mentioned was mentioned before the Hon'ble court on 30.03.2016 when the Court was pleased to pass the following Order:-

"Post before an appropriate Bench within six weeks from today."

It is lastly submitted that there is sole respondent in this appeal and is represented by Mr. Vishnu Sharma, Advocate. The appeal above mentioned is listed before the Hon'ble Court with this Office Report.
