The Member Secretary to Special Investigation

Reason:

Team (for short, "the SIT") by his letter dated 13.08.2014 has sent first report on black money. Along with the report they have also annexed a copy of the communications made to the German Authorities by Shri Ram Jethmalani, petitioner in the writ petition and the response thereof by the German Authorities.

The first report of the SIT on black money is taken on record. The Registry is directed to keep the aforesaid report in sealed cover and in the custody of the Secretary General of this Court forthwith.

The Communications dated 12.08.2014, 29.03.2014 by Shri Ram Jethmalani and communication dated 08.07.2014 by the German Authorities be handed over to the learned Additional Solicitor General. Let the learned Additional Solicitor General make his statement before this Court on the next date of 3 hearing, after taking appropriate instruction(s).

We request Shri Ram Jethmalani to furnish copies of the aforesaid letters to the learned Additional Solicitor General within a day's time from today.

We now permit the petitioner and his learned counsel to interact with the SIT members on the nuances of this case and the possible way of getting the black money from the banks situate outside the country. They can only suggest the ways and means and nothing beyond that.

We now request the learned members of the SIT to proceed with the task assigned to them by our earlier orders, keeping in view the earlier order of reference made by this Court.
