UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following O R D E R

The Court is convened through Video Conferencing.

Against the rejection of his interim bail application, the petitioner has approached this Court by way of filing the present special leave petition.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as also the learned Additional Solicitor General appearing on behalf of the respondent – State.

Taking into consideration the fact that the petitioner has suffered incarceration for a period of more than five years and nine months, and more particularly the fact that the petitioner has prayed for bail for a period of 45 days, we are inclined to grant him bail only for the said period. The petitioner is, accordingly, directed to be enlarged on bail for a period of 45 days from today subject to his executing a personal bond before the trial court. After the expiry of the period of 45 days, the petitioner is directed to surrender before the concerned jail authorities.

The special leave petition stands disposed of accordingly.
