UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following O R D E R
Heard the learned counsel appearing for the parties and perused the Office Report dated 11-1-2017.
We do not find any reason to interfere with the impugned order passed by the High Court of Madhya Pradesh at Indore at this stage.
In compliance of the order passed by us on 19-9-2016, respondent has already deposited a sum of Rs.16,00,000/- (Rupees Sixteen Lakhs only) in the Registry of this Court which has been invested in a Nationalized Bank in an interest-bearing Fixed Deposit, which was to be paid for the benefit/welfare of son in the matter. Digitally signed by Signature Not Verified
Accordingly, we direct the Registry of this Court to release the aforesaid amount along with accrued interest thereon to the petitioner immediately for the benefit of the son. 10:08:46 IST Reason:
We have been informed by the learned counsel appearing for the respondent that the divorce suit/petition is pending for a long time and he requests that the concerned Court may be directed to dispose of the said suit/petition as expeditiously as possible.
In view of that, we direct the concerned Court to dispose of the said pending divorce suit/petition within a period of six months from the date of communication of this order.
Accordingly, the Special Leave Petitions stand dismissed.
Pending applications filed in the matters are also disposed of.
