The matters above mentioned alongwith the other connected matters were listed before the Hon'ble Court on 9th January, 2017, when the following order was passed:-

"Leave granted.

No stay, except insofar as the observations recorded in paragraph 22.11.(b) of the impugned order, which are ordered to be kept in abeyance. Additionally, paragraph 22.11.(d) shall not be implemented, to the extent it requires a meaningful consultative process. It is clarified, that for sub-paragraph (d) afore-mentioned, a meaningful and effective deliberative process will be required, for a selection process to be valid.

With the aforesaid observations, we permit the petitioner-State to enter upon a fresh selection process for Members of the Public Service Commission.

We also clarify, that Respondent No.10 will remain ineligible, for any such fresh selection and appointment."

It is submitted that there are 14 respondents. Respondent No. 1 is represented through Mr. Nedumaran, Advocate but Counsel has on 12th January, 2017 filed one copy of the Special Leave Petition instead of 14 copies of the Special Leave Petition.

CIVIL APPEAL NO. 327 OF 2017

It is submitted that ther are 13 respondents and all are common respondents in Civil Appeal No. 326 of 2017.

CIVIL APPEAL NO.328 OF 2017

It is submitted that ther are 14 respondents. Respondent Nos. 3-14 are common respondents in Civil Appeal No. 326 of 2017 and Counsel for the Petitioner has not filed two spare copies of the Special Leave Petition for effecting service of Notice of Lodgement of Petition on Respondent Nos. 1-2 through High Court of Madras. Hence, Notice of Lodgement of Petition through High Court of Madras could not be issued which is still pending.
