This petition was registered on the basis of representation submitted by the petitioner-Major Singh son of Sardul Singh, resident of Village Thatta, Tehsil Patti, District Tarn Taran on the allegation that the police party of Saheli Kalan, District Tarn Taran has arrested Ganga Singh, nephew of the petitioner.
Learned counsel for the State has filed reply dated 23.07.2016 on behal of respondent-State of Punjab by way of affidavit of Devinder Singh Sandhu PPS Dy. Superintendent of Police Sub Division Patti, Distt. Tarn Taran.
As per the reply an FIR No. 74 dated 25.05.2015 under Section 174-A IPC was registered at Police Station Sarhali against Balbir Singh son of Sardul Singh, brother of petitioner, Jarmanjit Singh son of Balbir Singh nephew of the petitioner, Udhe Singh son of Sukha singh, Chamkaur Singh son of Gurdev Singh, Sukhraj Singh son of Lakhwinder Singh, all residents of Village Thatta PS Harike who were declared as Proclaimed offenders on 19.01.2015 in case FIR no.151 dated 12.10.2014

under Section 302, 148, 149, 120-B registered at Police Station Sarhali by the Court of Sh. R.S. Bajwa JMIC Tarn Taran.
Reply further suggests that Ganga Singh son of Balbir Singh nephew of the petitioner was neither arrested, detained, apprehended nor picked up by SI Kabal Singh Police Station Sarhali or the local police of District Tarn Taran.
Learned counsel for the State, on instructions from SI- Kabal Singh, submits that as on date, there is no case against Ganga Singh, nephew of the petitioner nor he is required in any case.
In view of the above, no further orders are required to be passed in the instant petition and the same is disposed of accordingly.
