- 04.09.2020 This matter is taken up through video conferencing.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is in judicial custody since 20.05.2014 and he has instruction that eighteen witnesses have been examined including the victim but he is not having the deposition copies of all the witnesses. He further submitted that at present there is no progress of trial on account of situation arises out of Covid-19 pandemic.
In view of such submission, let a report be called for from the learned Additional Sessions Judge -cum-Special Judge, Sundargarh in Special G.R. Case No.33 of 2014 relating to the status of the case. The learned trial Court shall also send the xerox copies of the statements of witnesses recorded so far during trial in a sealed cover so as to reach this Court on or before 11.09.2020.
