Heard Mr. Ajoy Pebam, learned counsel appearing for the Election petitioner; Mr. Ch. Ngongo, learned Sr. counsel appearing for the respondent No. 1; and Mr. S. Chitaranjan, learned counsel appearing for the respondent no. 2.
I have also perused the report submitted by the appointed Advocate Commissioner. When this matter is taken up today, Mr. Ch. Ngongo, learned Sr. counsel submitted that he will complete the question asked to the particular witness no. DW 2 about verification of the Electoral Roll within 30 minutes and he will take no further time than 30 minutes. Recording the submission advanced by the learned Sr. counsel, Registry is directed to place the records of these cases before the appointed Advocate Commissioner on 15.04.2025 for continuation of the examination of the DW No. 2 and other witnesses.
It goes without saying that the Advocate Commissioner has liberty to decide the sustainability of any objection raised by the counsels during the examination of the witnesses.
