- Learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that though respondents are involved in taking certain steps in demolishing drive of illegal constructions, such exercise is futile unless there is a proper and adequate assistance from the police machinery. Learned counsel for the petitioners thus orally prayed for leave to amend the petition so as to add concerned police officials as party respondents and also prayed for filing of additional affidavit. Leave as prayed for, is granted. Necessary amendment be carried out within one week from today. Learned counsel for the petitioner is permitted to file additional affidavit within two weeks from today.

Learned counsel appearing for respondent Nos.1 and 2 submitted that reply on behalf of respondent Nos.1 and 2 is ready and the same would be filed in the Registry by 10th October, 2022. Learned counsel appearing for respondent Nos. 1 and 2 submitted that copy of the reply is already supplied to learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. The Registry is directed to accept the reply, if it is filed by 10th October, 2022.
