W.P.NO.2913 OF 2017

This writ petition was filed challenging the inaction of the Respondent Nos.1 to 4 in not taking any action against the 6 th Respondent who was allegedly dong illegal mining activities in Sy.No.214/B in an extent of Ac.7.90 cents of Thallapalli Village, Pulivendula Taluk, Kadapa District and also in not furnishing any information with regard to grant of lease or renewal of lease in favour of the 6 th Respondent.

The 1 st Respondent filed a counter-affidavit stating that the Government issued G.O.Ms.No.741, Industries and Commerce Department, dated 05-08-1970 granting a mining lease for Barytes over an extent of Ac.16.01 cents in Sy.Nos.224 and 214 B of Thallapalli Village, Pulivendula Taluk, Kadapa District for a period of 20 years in faour of the 6 th Respondent and the lease period expired on 04-01- 1991. Subsequently, the 6 th Respondent filed an application for renewal. The counter further states that the said details were furnished to the Petitioner in response to the RTI application made by the Petitioner. In view of these averments, learned counsel for the Petitioner fairly stated that nothing survives for adjudication in the writ petition.

Recording the said submission of the learned counsel for the Petitioner, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
