The Court at the stage of admission, made the following JUDGMENT :(per TMK,J)

The Writ Appeal is filed by the appellants-respondents against the order, dated 13.10.2004, in Writ Petition No.6754 of 2003 passed by a learned single Judge of this Court.

For the sake of convenience, the parties are referred to as arrayed in the writ petition.

The said Writ Petition was filed by the writ petitioner to declare the action of the respondents in not selecting her for the post of LDC on the ground that the contractor under whom she worked has not maintained Attendance Register as arbitrary and illegal and to direct the respondents to consider her case for the said post on the basis of her selection and the Service Certificate countersigned by the authorities and also to grant all consequential benefits.

The learned single Judge of this Court while disposing of the writ petition directed the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner in the light of the Service Certificate issued by the concerned contractor countersigned by the officials of the respondents with reference to the agreements under which the petitioner was engaged as contract labour as on 18.5.1997 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with B.P.Ms.No.36, dated 18.5.1997, within six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of that order. Aggrieved by the same, the respondents filed the present writ appeal.

Heard the learned counsel and perused the order under appeal including the

material available on record.

The learned single Judge only directed consideration of the petitioner's case in accordance with law. With such an innocuous order, we see no grounds to interfere in this appeal. The order under appeal does not suffer from any illegality or irregularity warranting interference by this Court.

Accordingly, the Writ Appeal is dismissed.
