I.A.No.2 of 2023Transferred to
i/o folder,
before
corrections, if
any.
We
have
heard
Mr.
G.Narender
Reddy,
learned
Standing
Counsel
for
Hyderabad
Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board i.e.,
the
appellant
and
Mr.
M.Prabhakara
Chandra
Mouli, learned Senior Counsel for respondents No.1
and 2/writ petitioners.
This interlocutory application has been filed
for condoning the delay of 339 days in filing the
related appeal.
We have carefully gone through the averments
made in the supporting affidavit.
Unfortunately,
we
do
not
find
a
single
sentence in the affidavit making any endeavour to
explain the inordinate delay of 339 days.
When
we
were
about
to
dismiss
the

interlocutory application, learned Standing Counsel pleaded with us to give him one more opportunity to enable him to file a better affidavit. The affidavit has been filed by Mr. B.Narayana, General Manager (Engineering), Operations & Maintenance Division. While we grant the appellant an opportunity to file a better affidavit to explain the delay, we express our serious displeasure in filing of such applications in a casual manner.
