It is sad that despite clear direction on submission made by the Secretary to th e Government of Assam, Health and Family Welfare Department, who was present in person before this Court on 25.08.2017, the amount payable to the then Standing Counsels of Health and Family Welfare Department has not yet been disbursed.
Mr. B. Gogoi, learned counsel representing the Health and Family Welfare Department submits that necessary steps are being taken towards payment of the amount in question.
Prayer is made that the matter be posted after 4 (four) weeks as by that time the required payment shall be made. While granting time as prayed for, it is made clear that for any default in making payment, as above, the matter will be viewed seriously and persons concerned shall be held accountable.
List during first week of January 2018.
