Heard Mr. I. Hussain, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr. B. Sharma, learned C.G.C appearing for the Union of India respondent No.1. Also heard Mr. G. Sharma, learned Standing Counsel, Home Department, Assam for the respondent Nos.2 & 5; Mr. H. Kuli, learned Standing Counsel, Election Commission of India for the respondent No.3; as well as Mr. P. Sharma, learned Additional Senior Government Advocate, Assam for the respondent No.4.

2. Notice in this case was issued on 16.08.2018.

3. Registry has already received the relevant records of F.T.(8) Case No.1361/2017 from the Foreigners' Tribunal (8), Sonitpur at Thelamara, Assam that was called for by order dated 16.08.2018. The same shall be retained by the Registry until further order of the Court.

4. The petitioner is already on interim protection since 16.08.2018.

6. List this matter for hearing on a date to be fixed by the Registry.

7. It is submitted by Mr. I. Hussain, learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner was detained and kept in the detention camp pursuant to the impugned order dated 15.03.2018 passed by the learned Foreigners Tribunal (8), Sonitpur at Thelamara and he was subsequently released after two years of his detention.
